I have spent many years using Adobe Flash. It's my favorite tool. I have developed full Flash websites, basic animations, utilities, interactive maps and demo's. One of the services I am offering is to sell Flash template designs like this one for a small fee compared to the development of a full site. This template comes with an easy to use Flash content management system (CMS) that allows a non-web developer the ability to update their content. This CMS allows the text to be edited, images and video to be uploaded - control of the menus just to name a few. It's a very powerful tool. The Flash template allows for the same functionality as you see with this site but the colors and graphics can be changed to suit your needs. The other thing which you really don't see very often is this template allows the end user to change between designs (skins). The default is black and white skin versions. This could be set up to change for every season if desired. Each different skin design will have a seperate charge (black and white are the default colors). I am offering this Flash Portfolio template and also a Full Flash Website with CMS for sell. The basic cost will start at $500. This will include modifications to the black and white skins. Custom skin designs will be billed hourly. Click here to see the Full Website design. I have already plugged in that design for a few clients (www.typologetics.com).
Another tool I'm starting to use now is something I am really excited about. I am putting together more exciting designs that have a unique CMS system. I am currently in development mode but here is a link to preview what the site looks like. More information about the CMS will be documented here - so check back soon.

I recently invested time in learning Joomla!. It seemed to be a natural fit to my skill set. I worked for Flexiss for about 2 years and while there we had developed our own CMS system that was not Joomla! or Drupal. This was a project one of the other developer's was working on for their PHP certification and it worked so well that they adopted it as a standard. I wasn't involved so I didn't have much experience with this. After I left Flexiss I started looking at Joomla! because I believe that a CMS is a requirement for websites. I think it's not wise to not have a solution for a client to be able and change their content on a website - I even have this in place with the Flash sites.
I took 2 weeks to do some heavy duty training on Joomla!. It actually came to me very easy because the skills required I have been using for several years. I know Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustor really well to do my own design or tweak templates for a custom look. I know how to slice the design and incorporate it into a PHP document. I know CSS to style the design. I know back end administration with the Flash templates with CMS and also because of using tools like the Magento shopping cart - so that was a natural. I grasped this and have already started building some websites with it. I'm currently doing one for my company. Here's a link to my most current work with Joomla!.
I am really impressed with how Joomla! works. It's easy for an end user to change content, it can be extended with modules to handle any need so there isn't as much customization involved. While learning this tool I was reflecting on some of the websites I worked on at Flexiss and how much they would have benefited by Joomla!. One in particular was Grand Junction Area Realtors Association (www.gjrealtors.org). I spent a good portion of my time working on this site. I did the original slice (I didn't do the concept - it was a template design but did tweak it) and most of the coding. I was constantly updating this site and adding modules with custom coding. Little did I know that if this was in Joomla! it would have saved a lot of time and saved the client money.
Throughout the years I have been involved in illustration and fine art. The tools used were Corel Painter, Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop. The mediums used for original art are pastels, airbrush, pencils. I went to art school for college. I have had several art shows in my life. To view some of my fine art, click here. If you are interested in contracting me for illustration or fine art, please contact me through email.
To view some of the illustration work I have done click here. I will continue to add more images. I have worked as a digital illustrator for several years. I worked around seven years at a company called 3D Systems where I did more technical illustration. I have done some caricatures as well. This was for the company I recently left.
